The Scottish Locomotive Preservation Trust Fund

The Scottish Locomotive Preservation Trust Fund (SLPTF) is the legal owner of Caledonian Railway No.828. The Trust Fund is a Registered Charity with the following objectives:

1. To act as the legal owner of Caledonian Railway locomotive No.828, or any other locomotive which the Trust may acquire.

2. To lend permanently, or otherwise the said locomotive, or locomotives to any properly constituted museum authority in Great Britain, or elsewhere, for public exhibition or use for educational purposes.

3. To solicit and raise funds in any way that may be considered expedient, but always and only with the purpose of restoring the said locomotive, or locomotives, to exhibition condition and of maintaining it, or them, thus from time to time.

4. To restore the locomotive, or locomotives, to working condition for use on special excursion trains, or similar purposes, if thought expedient or desirable.

5. To undertake any other activities consistent with the foregoing objectives. 
    

The Trust is administered by a committee of Trustees consisting of a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman, a Secretary, a Treasurer and ten ordinary members.
